2022 has just started and the whole Organization Committee of The ACM Web Conference 2022 wishes you a Happy New Year 2022! Best wishes for this new year and looking forward to welcoming you Online for the 31st edition of the conference series.

Keynote Speakers:

Prabhakar Raghavan (Google) and Virginia Dignum (Umeå University)

We are pleased to announce the first two Keynote Speakers for the 2022 edition of The ACM Web Conference.

 Dr. Prabhakar Raghavan (@Twitter)

is a Senior Vice President at Google and one of the foremost authorities on Web Search, Algorithms, and Databases. He will give his Keynote talk on Wednesday 27 April 2022.

 Prof. Virginia Dignum (@Twitter)

is a Specialist of Responsible AI, Professor at Umea University and Director of the WASP-HS program on humanities and social science in AI and autonomous systems. She will give her Keynote talk on Thursday 28 April 2022.

17,7% acceptance rate for the research tracks and 21% for the special tracks

We were glad to announce a record number of submissions last December. This was the start of a gigantic and rigorous work for more than 1700 program committee members and senior members, 768 external reviewers supported by 32 track chairs and overseen by our 3 marvelous PC chairs who have collectively produced more than 6300 reviews.

The selection is tough! Congrats to the 400 authors who are making it in the program:

 323 papers in the 11 Research Tracks

  • Economics, Monetization, and Online Markets: 96 submissions, 18 selected
  • Search: 149 submissions, 31 selected
  • Security, Privacy, and Trust: 146 submissions, 25 selected
  • Semantics and Knowledge: 133 submissions, 27 selected
  • Social Network Analysis and Graph Algorithms: 361 submissions, 57 selected
  • Social Web: 53 submissions, 7 selected
  • Systems and Infrastructure: 74 submissions, 15 selected
  • User Modeling, Personalization and Accessibility: 268 submissions, 57 selected
  • Web and Society: 143 submissions, 24 selected
  • Web Mining and Content Analysis: 257 submissions, 52 selected
  • Web of Things, Ubiquitous and Mobile Computing: 103 submissions, 28 selected

 41 papers in the 3 Special Tracks

  • Esports and Online Gaming: 36 submissions, 8 selected
  • History of the Web: 16 submissions, 5 selected
  • Web 4 Good: 146 submissions, 28 selected

Note that this year, authors from 🇳🇴 had the highest acceptance rate with 67%!
